I am wondering if you can share with me what else are you reading that I don’t know about related to gardening, cooking, house, and home? While we are talking about gardening…this little bunny has been living in our yard for the past couple of weeks. Brooks has named her carrot. I thought she was cute until I caught her today eating my flowers.

If anyone also has any suggestions how to nicely nudge bunny out of the garden I would appreciate it.

The design world is lamenting the close of the magazine Domino this week. A friend of mine has a friend there who says she must clear her desk by Friday. Most readers are young women who are interested in interior design and want a fun, comfortable home with affordable options. They showed great homes with young looks, good ideas for DIY and most importantly they were thoughtful to a young woman or family’s design budget. They also featured new and upcoming designers who used lots of color and were resourceful. I will miss reading Domino’s cheery and informative monthly publication, but worse I feel badly to hear about another round of job cuts in my industry. 

I hope I can bring to my blog readers what Domino brought to me. I have been thinking of doing a post Chic on the Cheap, so this inspires me to get to work…. let me know what you want to hear!

Interiors Marketplace is moving into the building where Myers Park Hardware used to be on February 2nd. This prime location in the Eastover Neighborhood is at the intersection of Providence Road, Queens Road and Selwyn Avenue on the east side of the street. The hours will be Monday-Friday 10 AM-6 PM. It will feature all of the fabulous vendors they had at their previous location on South Blvd.

In late February the owners of Interiors Marketplace will also be opening Post & Gray Warehouse located at Rampart Street and South Tryon. Check back here for an exact opening date as it gets closer. The warehouse will be open Thursday, Friday and Saturday and feature a mix of eclectic items not found at the the other location. As soon as I have more information I will post it.
