Vanities

by Laura Casey Interiors on May 17, 2012

When I was younger, I had a vanity in my room. I didn’t call it a vanity however, it was a ‘dressing table’ – a term I never hear anymore.
Regardless of its name, I will always be a fan of the look.

Suzanne Kasler’s signature chair tucked under a mirrored vanity is very pretty.

I love this use of modern wallpaper with an antique mirror and furniture that has a vintage feel.

This unique table and various decor create an attractive and functional vanity without being overly feminine.

I have pondered doing a post on these. I have the dressing table that belonged to the woman who started Montaldo’s here. My aunt bought it from her estate because she knew her and shopped with her often. I think her name was Ann Wilson? I need to ask my Aunt. It needs a new skirt and I haven’t used it for years but may be I will get it out and redo it. Yes, I think you have motivated me Laura! Great post!

I love vanities. The little girl vanity is Irresistibly charming. Hmmm. I think men should get their own space, too What do you think? It would be interesting to design one. Herringbone, leather, brass…. Thanks for sharing.

I was hoping my new master bath would accommodate a vanity, but alas, it was not to be. not enough space. I love these and would consider one in my bedroom. donna

I love vanities! I had one on Bedford Road and loved it! Now there is one in the guest room….but it needs a stool!

I’m crazy for a pretty dressing table…I have an antique piece in front of a full length antique mirror with sconces on either side…its a relaxing way to get ready for the hectic day. These are some gorgeous images…will be pinning away! Happy weekend. Mona
