Black Banisters

by Laura Casey Interiors on April 19, 2012

It’s one little trick that makes a big difference….
Can you imagine how different these rooms and staircases would look if the bannisters were a light wood?

The black bannister makes the staircase look strong and sturdy, I love it!

Love this look. I was just debating doing it in our stairs but I see something here that our stairs don’t have – black steps in addition to the railing to tie it all together…I love this look but don’t think it will work in my situation…I’ll have to keep brainstorming! :)

This makes me miss my Charlotte home. We had a beautiful entryway with a black and white marble floor, so we did paint the bannister black, which made it pop. The stair runner was trimmed in black as well. It was a dramatic entry way…whereas my one now is so much smaller and not a lick of black.

Love these looks, Laura!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Laura,

That last one is a stunner! So pinning that one! And talk about how a little bit of black adds some drama and elegance to a room. Nice!

Happy weekend to you, girlie (:
