There are ways to give narrow hallways some character with lighting, rugs, paint, drapery, and artwork or photographs. I like all of these ideas…

Great ideas! Thanks!
They are all lovely . . .it sure gives me some ideas of what I should do with my long upper hallway. Thanks for some great photos.
I saw that first image yesterday, for the first time, and it is now also a favorite of mine!
The other images are also lovely. Turning long hallways into art galleries is always a great idea.
Hugs to you lovely Laura,

All the hallways are beautiful. I like the landing on the last image. Best, Ivy
beauties! but number 2 has my heart. must be the gray drapes! donna
Narrow hallways present a visual problem. One is tempted to over decorate to releive the monotony. Too many pictures, too much “designing”. Like smoothering cheap meat with seasonings. How about emphasizing the length? Part of having separated rooms is the enjoyment of going from one kind of pattern to another: high ceilings, more windows, lots of plants. Why not do that hallway in unreleived sameness? All one color, no texture, no decoration, just a place that offers the next room as you proceed, what a relief. Ann
