Kitchen Technology

by Laura Casey Interiors on March 20, 2012

Kitchen technology has come a long way in the last ten years, especially with the introduction of companies like U-Line.com and Sie Matic. Fusing design with function, appliances and technology don’t need to be bulky or ugly anymore.

US owned and designed U-line.com provides under the counter refrigerators.

These premium space savers are great for smaller spaces or for those that want additional ice making or wine preservation units in your kitchen

These types of units are not as common in the US but are the norm in Europe.

Very cool stuff indeed. We have the LOUDEST wine cooler known to man – I will have to check these out as a replacement.

One of the smartest things I did was the “wine cooler” and the under counter “micro-wave” drawer. I think having these things not only streamlines but adds to the ease when entertaining.

It may look good but the units are not high quality. I have the refrigerator/freezer drawer unti and have had to have it fixed FIVE times in less than three years. Although I have an extended warranty, it’s the inconvenience; it takes between 3-12 weeks to get it fixed depending on parts, labor and schedules. DON’T BUY IT!!!!!
