One of my favorite parts of my job is looking at fabrics and wallpapers and creating schemes for my clients. There are so many fabric houses that I love but today I thought I would share my very favorites. Zoffany is a British textiles company that I have used for years for their classic and sophisticated designs.
Cowtan & Tout is another company I have used for years. Their patterns are unique, pretty and sophisticated.
Lee Jofa is always at the top of my list.
Kelly Wearstler and Suzanne Kasler both have great fabric lines with this company.
Brunschwig & Fils is a classic fabric house that was recently bought by Kravet. I have long adored their textiles.
There are always too many beautiful choices.

Lovely Laura. Will you do a wallpaper post next please?
Excellent post. I have a fondness for textiles and even the smallest remnant can add such personality to a pillow, a napkin or some sort of trim on even the plainest canvas.
This certainly would make a wonderful series of narrowing down the plethora of choices.
Again, that is why hiring an interior designer like you is a smart choice.

I love fabrics, especially pretty ones like Cowtan, Brunschwig and Lee Jofa. One of my first jobs out of college was at the Design Center in DC working for Stroheim and Romann (no longer in business). We were on the same floor as Scalamandre, Brunschwig and Kravet with the others, Lee Jofa, Cowtan, etc. just a staircase away. Heaven!
Laura I love beautiful fabrics, so many are like works of art! Great resources!
Come and see my special Giveaway for Valentines!

Loved this post. I adore beautiful fabrics and actually have a few from designers that you mentioned. Are you familiar with Jane Shelton’s fabric line? She’s a good friend and has many wonderful selections. Let me know what you think.
I always look forward to your posts. You never disappoint!

Laura,
Wallpapers are something I have been gravitating more and more toward. I have 42 rolls of a beautiful Zoffany wallpaper upstairs, waiting for my renovation to be completed…so that I can finally paper my entry and stairway up 3 flights. With a very low ceiling entry, I think it’s just what I need to give some interest to this area.
Great list – actually perfect timing – i am looking for pillow now for our couches and having a hard time finding them. All the pillows are also too soft
Don’t forget Highland Court, Duralee, Texture and Beacon Hill! Wink wink…BIG SMILE!
