As summer draws to an end this weekend, I want to take the time to appreciate all the amazing outdoor things that we sometimes take for granted in the summertime.
Swimming after dinner
Reading your favorite book on a terrace
Bike rides to the beach
Sandy beaches
Picnics by the water
Enjoying gardens when they are in full bloom
Al fresco dining at the cottage
Swimming off docks at a cottage
Lucky me got to do all of it. Hope you had a great summer too.

Don’t forget to make a blueberry pie!
You captured the end of summer beautifully and though I am quite sad about it, do think fall is a beautiful season too and am trying to see the beauty in each…but summer…ahhh no season is as relaxing!
it’s been spring since we’ve gotten away to the beach, if you can believe that. we gotta do better!
Laura you have covered some of the great joys of summer. I cannot believe it is Sept 1st!
Autumn IS my very favorite time of year!

Summer goes far too fast as well as raising children. Our sons are both off to College and as much as we think we are prepared for them to leave, it still feels like Summer, saying goodbye to it all is bittersweet. Good thing we can anticipate Autumn, fires, changing leaves, chunky sweaters, school and learning new things.

Great pictures. Love the picture of the bike. I cant believe we are at the end of summer. It feels like it just began.
