One of the projects I have been working on this year includes helping a wonderful young family in Charlotte. We decided to hang family pictures in the entry way to keep it young and informal.
Their two kids often play in the living room so we used a lightweight ottoman as a coffee table that can easily be moved.
We were inspired by the colors in the rug from Anthropologie.
Hope your week is full of these.

Laura, love the rug and you did an amazing job on the rest of the design I can only imagine how excited the homeowner must be, kathysue
Lovely design, Laura. And as for the sunflowers, can you imagine endless miles of eight-nine feet high gorgeous sunflowers growing ten feet deep on both sides of the road? That’s the way they used to grow in parts of the rural Midwest.
Great job! What cute frames you picked for the entryway! xoxo
I love it! What is the paint color? It is a wonderful shade of beige. Did you use a linen on the sofa – I love it as well. You do wonderful work!
pretty!!
Sweet room….nice attention to details. I would want to play in that room too! Those sunny sunflowers reminded me of a recent episode, the squirrels came into my screen porch and got hold of one large one and had a feast!

Oh my gosh!! Love it!! Come do my house next
! I especially love the ottoman and picture wall.
I love how you used the Anthropologie rug in a very non-anthropologie way. Looks great!
This house is so elegantly put together, I love the neutrals with the pops of color. Your designs are always so beautiful!
Bon work!! I adore that rug and think it looks perfect atop the jute. You did an amazing job on the project….seriously stunning!
Love the ottoman/coffee table combo. We’ve done this before and that ottoman comes in handy as extra seating when there is a crowd!
Love it, Laura! It is so fun and fresh.
Love it. You did a wonderful fresh. So fresh and inviting.
Laura,
The living room is so fresh and inviting and yet still has a sophitcated feeling! Love the thick creamy drapery rods…they have long been a favorite of mine! Wonderful work!!!
We LOVE that Anthropologie rug! So glad you decided to use splashes of blue throughout the rest of the room — it really makes it pop. That’s the great thing about rugs! http://bit.ly/dtHCHN
So important to keep a house a reflection of those who live there — and you’ve done it! I love seeing their wedding picture next to what is probably a parent or grandparent. I’m BIG on those personal touches!!! Can’t wait to see more of your work. xoxo, Elizabeth
What a lovely space that is still” liveable”. Love that rug layered over the sisal and the photos in the entry add a great personal touch, especially in those great frames.
Lovely job Laura!!! Love the view out the door to the porch with rockers and ferns. Beautiful work!
Well done, Laura! Beautiful, warm and inviting. Lucky family who got to work with YOU!
Happy weekend, my friend.
