Screen Time

I really love how interior screens can add so much to a room. They are a great way to decoratively fill an odd corner or a large bare wall. They speak for themselves…

Laura, great eye to pick up on the screen in image seven!

I think it is funny how screens seem like such an unusual idea, yet so wonderful. People should use them more often.

Another great post. I have had the luck of placing the mahogany and glass screen from Century Furniture a few times. Maybe one day I’ll earn enough credits to purchase my own :)

Agreed! They add an element of intrigue and mystery to any room.

I love using screens in projects. They really made a space more intimate, and it’s a great way to make difficult areas of the room. My mother owned a chinoiserie screen in soft corals and golds, and it hung over her sofa for years. I guess that I have a little nostalgia when it comes to a pretty screen.

I bought a beautiful, antique, french blue-grey screen once but sold it because I was so unsure of how to use it. Should’ve asked you!

Laura, I have a dark background with floral painted screen that I am really tired of. I have thought about repainting it. I may have it covered in fabric now that I see some great examples! The Mirrored one is beautiful also!

Love those screens. They’re pretty art-deco, which is so huge right now! http://bit.ly/d2x8uz
