I love the variety of uses for tin. A pressed tin ceiling adds so much to this pretty white kitchen.
Windsor Smith’s painted her kitchen tin ceiling white, which looks fabulous!
Tin for the backsplash compliments the distressed cabinets for a more rustic feel.
Artist Tim Arellanos of Albuquerque created these punched-tin doors, which I think are fantastic looking.
A beautifully pressed and carved tin headboard.
Olde Good Thingshas a wonderful selection of antique tin tiles and painted tin mirrors.
What else am I crazy about? Antique tin planters.
Do you love it too?

Love the pictures showing beautiful tin!! Especially the antique planter. Lovely!
XO,
Valerie
I love these examples of how to use tin. The kitchen ceilings are fabulous. Thank you for introducing these beautiful ideas to me.
the first photo is AWESOME! love it!!
I love the look of tin, I have this facination with ceilings anyway, and I love to see something on them besides white paint. I have done my kitchen ceiling and the ceiling in part of my studio in the decorative ceiling tiles, but I painted them in a copper faux finish which suits me better than the silver. I’m using a tin backsplash in a new project for a client, and we’re both thrilled with the look. Fun post, Laura.
Your new header looks like a tin pattern, lovely.
smiles….
The tin adds wonderful texture and artistic beauty. I love both.
It fascinates me when I go into an old building with the tin ceilings they are always so beautiuful even when the paint is chipping. Such detail!! Kathysue
These are great images. I had to save a couple for a job I’m working on right now. I love, love the antique planter. I noticed it was from Old Good Things. We have done business with them for a long time.
“Tin Man” – I adore….tin ceilings, tin planters, tin looks and old oil cans too!~
Tin certainly has my heart!!

Love it! And I’ve loved that second image ever since I saw it in House Beauitful. And of course I’m seeing tables everywhere I go. Love that first one! Xo…Linsey
yes, that planter is divine!
I really like Windsor’s painted tin ceiling. Very fun idea!
Love it! The kitchen ceiling is fantastic and could use about 4 of those planters!!! With lemon trees, please!
Tim Arellanos’ doors are stunning; what a fantastic idea!
Thanks for the resource. I think there was a tin ceiling — painted white — in Elliott Puckette’s house, at least as photographed 10 years ago
Oh beautiful! i so love the picture of that kitchen table with the slipcovered white seat! Makes the place so charming!
