I have a case of summertime.
It’s bad. Symptoms to follow:
White pants, oversized sunglasses, straw bags, Chanel inspired nautical shirts…
plus an added round of cute little boys in matching swim gear digging with the reverse end of the shovels.
and my wanting to work on my photography hobby.
To the doctor- daytime has involved the following

Luckily I have two great girls who are working with me. One is going to be my first guest blogger soon.
Anna is going to give you some insight into this fabulous beach house…
How will I be cured? All I need is a good dose of this.
What does that mean? It means freedom to do as you please. Get as creative as you can and only see the screen when necessary. Any suggestions on how to feel better? More Ice Cream, flip flops, picnics and watermelon?
I will be better around Labor Day. Happy Summer.

I think I have the same disease. I don’t think mine will be cured until I get some good vacation time.
Then again, that might just make it worse!
absolutely wonderful piece! here’s hoping for a full recovery by fall!
Omgosh I just wrote a post on Nautical designed rooms and was looking for clothes to go along with it. You can’t beat RL for a great nautical look. I am with you on this summer disease. Love the little guys on the beach, too cute!! Kathysue
the cure for the disease: a visit to the Georgia coast. I hope I get to meet you if you make it over to Sea Island this summer. Or you can “rough” it on SSI! xoxo

Gorgeous weather on the Cape over Memorial – I was bitten by the same bug! Sooooo excited for summer! Don’t forget freshly grown organic vegetable gardens…such a bonus of the season! Beautiful pics, Laura, thanks! xo
Your wonderful imagination shows in every aspect of your life!
There ain’t no cure for the summertime blues! (and white stripes….thank goodness!)
Excellent – Very creative!!!
I never miss looking at all you give us to see!
Who wants to be cured of Summer fever? Just hit the beach soon!

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I am thirsty, I want ice cream, I want to see the ocean, I want big floppy hats in front of my eyes instead of the computer screen.
Ok, First I want your outfit and can I just borrow those adorable little boys for a while? Actually, I’ll take the beach house, ice cream and lemonade as well. Throw in a glass of wine and I’m set. You have just described and shown pictorially the perfect summer. I’m completely impressed with both your imagination and plans. I hope you have a great one. Mona
sandcastles, chasing lightning bugs, the smell of chlorine, (or salty beaches) water rings everywhere from glasses of frosty beverages, swim goggles, beach towels all make me feel better.

It’s definitely contagious! I’m starting to feel it here in LA too. A new beach umbrella and chair are on the list today. I’ll be thinking of you at the beach this weekend. Love the photo of the boys!

LOVE this post. Happy weekend Laura!
We’re not quite out of school yet — tuesday — but the flip flops and sunscreen are out in full force!
It was ridiculously hot in Virginia today…and probably your way too! So, I did the only reasonable thing…jumped in the car to shop for all the ingredients to enjoy Mojitos!!!!
Oh, how I miss it when my 2 were that little…the boys are sooo cute!
Happy Summer! I definitely have been infected as well. Love that pic of the ice cream scoops.

This post is adorable! This spring I keep waking up amazed that we are blessed with yet another gorgeous day!!! I don’t remember a spring like this…. but it does bring on a serious case of summertime itch! I want nothing more than to be walking on a beach, reading in the sunshine or sitting outdoors with family & friends for drinks & dinner! Your posts are great Laura ~ keep em coming!!
I love this post, Laura, ’cause I am right there with you!
Who makes the striped top you featured? It looks to have the perfect nautical stripes…
