I have had a great few days in High Point this week. While shopping for clients, finding new vendors and connecting up in person with ones I work with is a lot of fun…meeting Suzanne Kasler, Alexa Hampton, Thomas O’Brien and Mariette Himes Gomez all in a two hour time frame in the Hickory Chair showroom was the highlight of it for me. Suzanne Kasler’s rooms and furniture lines for Hickory Chair are just beautiful. As she says, ” A room should be collected, not decorated”.
I think I need this chic desk and chair in my office.
She is so nice, interesting and easy to talk to. I now have three copies of her book in my office, and a lucky reader is going to get a signed one soon in my next giveaway. stay tuned….

A Design Story
wish i got to meet you at market..perhaps next time!
What a great photo of you two. Suzanne was such a pleasure to see and chat with, and as always the showroom was stunning. What a treat they allowed you to take photos too. My friend needed a finish sample for a table she is ordering for a client in which they didn’t have one. She begged to take pictures of it, even at that the picture police hovered and made sure she didn’t take photos of anything else.
Laura, the updates to your portfolio look great!
My favorites of Suzanne Kasler’s collection at Hickory Chair are the Nanette Chair, the Anastasia Bench and the Frederica Bench. Creative design at its best.
Thank you so much for coming to Hickory Chair and selecting our showroom as the place you wished to be interviewed! You are a talented lady and we look forward sharing new experiences with you in the future! Warmest regards, Laura
