One of my clients is supermom, really. She has five kids and is always seems to have it all together. Her kids have a wide age range (remember bedroom #1 and bedroom #2). I am going to put some roman shades on a large bare window in the play room, but with the age range and both genders I have to keep it all in mind. Solids, stripes and gender neutral patterns will let the youngest grow into it without babying the older ones.
Thanks PVE for sharing these with me ! Who knew about such a great use for coffee filters!

I love romans as they are clean and so not “frou frou”-
I use that line a lot around here “Rome was not built in a day” and I think a roman shade can be an easy day project.

I love the striped roman shades- they look so clean and add a pop of color! hope you are feeling better!
Roman shades are perfect in a playroom! I just put up navy and cream China Seas fabric roman shades in my boys room. I would post a picture except that their beds are in the basement being painted. They have been there for a month! I am NOT super mom
Il like bright colors. When it is dark outside it is still bright inside- especially for children!
Thanks for the light -bright rooms!

I love the playroom with the green shades and the pink chair. Makes me want to play.
Good morning Laura, a perfect post for me! I am about to start working on Prince William’s (2,5) big boys room. The white shutters let in too much light and they look a little plain. I was thinking roman shades myself. Maybe even with stripes after seeing this! You are the best! xx Mon
Laura these are so fun. I would love to do simple roman shades on my bedroom windows. The look is clean and cool!

I love the bedrooms you did, and I can’t wait to see the playroom! Romans are always a great choice, and I especially love those stripes!
I love roman shades and simple panels personally. I think roman shades would be perfect, nearly every fabic looks good on this treatment. BTW the girls rooms look great!
Oh, Laura, I love all of these rooms! Maybe I should forget about doing our playroom and just move into one of these houses
Thanks for the post.
PS You’re way more of a supermom than I am.
These are all great rooms, Laura. I think Roman shades always look good! xx
Laura, Thanks for the source for dance supplies! I could move right into that room with the black book shelves covering the wall and the big, bold striped shades – love it!
I love Romans shades. The stripes would be a lot of fun too.

The last image with globes and map on wall is always on my inspiration board for playrooms. When I finally get around to doing ours that is my starting point… but you know what they say—shoe cobbler’s children never have shoes–interior designer’s never have finished rooms. (or started in my case)
Playrooms are always great because there are endless ways you can make it fun and functional at the same time!
I think more people should consider romans for their playrooms. This was a nice representation of that look for those rooms…….Maryanne:0
I am obsessed over roman shades! I love all these images. I am also crazy about stripes!

Roman shades are one of my favorite window coverings, I have 8 of them in my house.
