Love Katie’s design too! The cowhide rug adds such warmth and texture to the room. The all white bookshelves with hints of color is brilliant. She mixes it up well.

These two rooms were on my shortlist, but I thought they already looked great with what they had, so I picked more ‘deserving’ candidates – but I probably should have just picked the ones that I thought were the prettiest! I love the one with all of the magazines and that illuminated manuscript looking wall art.

I have been so out of the loop that I am just catching up on this contest, but I love the rooms you chose, Laura. Both are great looking – I love the bookshelves, but also love the simplicity of the other room – looks like it is in the country somewhere with a great view. Oh well, I had better scoot on over to Velvet and Linen and see what I have been missing. Have a great Thanksgiving. P.S. Got my Vandy girl home with me this week!

Ok, I am so pathetic. Every time I read someone’s explanation of why they chose their favorite room I want to vote for that room! This is why I let my bloggy friends select the 10 finalist. There were so many great rooms that would be enhanced by the Brickmaker’s table.
