boots and boots

It’s been seriously rainy here. We’ve got a little windy reprieve at the moment, but more is coming this afternoon.

I don’t mean just rain, it has been a massive downpour.

Like the kind of days where you don’t want to go outside at all.

I have loved going to sleep listening to the rain though.

I used to like when I got a good excuse to wear these.

But three days straight? I am ready to give you guys a rest,

and to see some sunshine to come through the windows.

Maybe this weekend.

I feel for you. It is sunny for the first day in days. The tropical storm from the Gulf is finally past our area, perhaps that is what you have been receiving there. I was moving a family member for two days in that rain, I am glad to finally be dry. I usually love rainy days, just not when moving.
I love your warm and inviting photos, so dry and cozy. I love-love-love all the boots!

Laura, you have such a reader-friendly writing style, manner and imagination.

Laura, I love the fourth image, perfect. I can only take a couple of days of rain !

Hang in there, Laura. The night rain is wonderful, but I agree, the wet days get old no matter how cute your rain boots are. I am LOVING that second image. The colors, the composition, everything! I wish I could write as precisely as you do – I tend to gab too much! Thanks for your input on the paint dilemma!

It is so hard when it rains for days and you are cooped up with little ones! Hang in there. I do love having an excuse to wear my hunter wellies!

Love these charming images! It reminds me of my childhood, when we always had a pair of wellies for those rainy days. I still have a pair that I pull out every so often.
