Reesie is my in-laws sweet golden retriever. Anne Harwell painted this adorable picture for me to give as a gift to my mother-in-law. Yesterday was her birthday, and I gave it to her over the weekend when they came to Charlotte to visit us. She loves dogs and Anne does such beautiful pet portraits I thought it would be a great opportunity to have Reesie captured.
She has a great Etsy shop with lots of ideas for Holiday gifts and a fun blog Annechovie.
I think Anne did a wonderful job. Don’t you?

What a great idea, Laura! So thoughtful and beautiful!
What a sweet portrait!!! Anne is truly talented………Reesie’s eyes are very expressive…
Reesie and her family love the portrait ! It’s hung in a spot where all can admire.
Thank you Anne for capturing Reesie’s personality and a big thank you Laura for your most thoughtful and orginal gift.
I love her work too. I’ve just bought three packs of her cards – one of the chairs, one of the interiors and one of her Christmas interiors. I’m going to give the chairs and her interiors to my decorator friends and the Christmas ones I’m going to send to my VIP clients. The dog is a great idea.
Laura — great choice! What a thoughtful and fun present. Anne is so great to work with. Well done both of you. Oh and I love Reesie too.
What a great Daughter-in-law you are!!! I am absolutely going to copy this idea. (I am thinking my mother’s spoiled but Oh so loved cat). There are so many talented and creative bloggers that I am learning about when stumbling through the design world. I am so glad I discovered you and thank your for introducing me to Annechovie! Happy week! OX Monika.
