My blog turns one this week.

I really enjoy writing, reading your comments and emails so thank you for coming back.

I am a bit under the weather, so here are a few beautiful rooms that will make me feel a little better and I hope you enjoy them.

I would like to go make myself a cup of hot tea in here.

I love a room in my favorite color.

1 Jean October 27, 2009 at 8:58 am: Hope you feel better! These beautiful rooms are the best medicine there is. What a fabulous use of color. It’s so interesting that when one (not a decorator) sees a sample it is so impossibly hard to visualize the outcome. For instance, the gray wallpaper with white blossoming trees–I would never have imagined how exquisite a bedroom could be with that on the walls and, most unfortunately, would have dismissed it altogether. And look how beautifully the wallpaperer turned the left corner. Now I have to redo my bedroom! All so beautiful.

We would serve it to you on a silver tray with linen napkins and paint pretty pictures for you, and tell you nice stories (or to your children) while you rest and recover back to full health. I must say those rooms are indeed lovely. You always find the best images. Just enough, not too over the top, after all, you are sick, so you have to take it easy! Feel better.
