hi friends and readers,
I hope you all are still out there to read my blog after a bit of a technical hiatus. First, a seriously overdue thank you to Terri Sapienza at the Washington Post for including my last “Stencils with Sunny” in the blog watch two weeks ago.
The day before this was in the paper my blog decided it needed a break and until last night wouldn’t allow me to put up a new post or readers to comment. Sometimes technology can throw us lemons.
and for a while I felt like this (insert me)
In the process of this I lost my mail subscriber database, a few comments on some posts and also lost my blog roll which over time I will redo. If you used to subscribe and haven’t been getting my posts in email please sign up again. Thanks for all of you who checked in to make sure I was okay and to see what was going on, I appreciate it. Please let me know if you have a tech story…

I wish I had some helpful tech advice but I’m not your woman there. I will say, for you and everyone of us who does this all on our own without an IT person to call, well, people probably don’t realize how tedious and time consuming it can be sometimes to handle these snags.
When we were in Europe last Summer, I had all kinds of techno blips and I could not even imagine how crazy and deranged I had become….sometimes I wonder how long all this computer stuff will last….are we chained to our lap-tops, can we operate with out?
But that said, I am so thrilled you are back. You were missed.
So glad to see that you’re back! Nothing is more annoying than trying to figure out something techie.

I’ve missed you. I checked your blog and it had vanished and them I’m sorry to say I forgot to re-check. My email alerts weren’t coming in so …… Anyway, I was just going through the comments on French Essence and saw you had popped up there. A couple of clicks and now we are reunited. So glad you’re back with us, I love reading your blog. Hope one of us wins Vicki’s book!
