This month’s issue of House Beautiful features a house by interior designer Jonathan Berger.
He used Benjamin Moore’s Razzle Dazzle on the walls of a Brooklyn townhouse entryway. A mother and her four daughters live here, and he said, “It’s an all girl household, and she wanted to celebrate that fact”.

The paneling and the black paint on the stairs help to maintain a balance with the walls. The bright color runs all the way upstairs and down the second floor hallway. Take a look at the issue and let me know what you think. I think it looks great, young and fun. He certainly is a good designer to pull this color off!
Could you get your pink on?

The pink is gorgeous especially with those glossy black stairs – divine!
I love it, the hot pink works well there with all that molding and european furniture.
As a mom of sons, and one girl, a little pink goes along way, I love a guy in a pale pink button down or pale pink sweater.
I think it looks fabulous. People are always so scared of using strong colours and worry that they will dominate. Once you add your accessories and art or mirrors on the wall it’s not that strong after all. The use of the white and black really tones it down. Long live colour!!!!
How daring. Love the black glossy stairs. I never would have accessorized with a blue and white vase, but it certainly looks pretty. It’s great to see a designer push the envelope.
I don’t think I’ve received my copy yet, or it might just be stuck in the pile of stuff on my desk.
I think I have to take a look.
Happy Sunday.

As a mother of boys, it is hard for me to relate to pink much less “get my pink on”. Though I enjoyed the posting.

Wow, Jonathan pulled off using Razzle Dazzle beautifully (this takes guts in a entry way, heck in any room!). So chic. Love the black stairs, but not sure about the large shell under the console table. I also agree with Brooke about using the blue & white vase… it’s gotta go.

Umm…I love this post and want to get my pink on asap! I love the pale pink cherry blossoms against the fushia walls and the black stairs. Great find!
Love the pink walls, but it’s about all the junk on and under the table, and the table itself and the mirror too! Not cool.
I loved this interior. Pink isn’t my favorite but I think I could get my peacock blue on or maybe kelly green. I really liked all of the fabrics that he chose.
So many good things going on in this foyer! The use of color and pattern is incredible.
