Did you see the Preakness yesterday? I was on my feet jumping for Rachel Alexandra. She is a beautiful horse and the first filly* to win in 85 years. I loved her jockey’s (Calvin Borel) great attitude at the derby. He chose to ride Rachel Alexandra instead on Mine That Bird for the Preakness. In the spirit, here is Ralph Lauren’s current equestrian ad campaign with bold colors.

No Triple Crown this year but who will Borel ride at the Belmont? It will be fun to watch (June 6th)!
Do you think he will ride all three winners? On Rachel Alexandra? I hope so!

Wasn’t watching the race so exciting and even more so for a filly to win! I love her name!
Ralph Lauren is a design genius.
What an inspiration.
To have that much clarity in design.

I worked for Ralph for many years when I first began my design career and it was an exciting place to be, just like the races! Thrilling race to the runway collections!
I want that bit pillow!!!
Creative and timely post!
I didn’t have the pleasure of seeing the race on Saturday but did watch the Kentucky Derby and found Calvin Borel to be a joy to watch. His happiness, unfiltered and genuine, was a scene stealer.
Tying in the race with Ralph Lauren is perfect. I just love those chairs in the fourth image. Do you know if they are RL or not? Would assume so.

I tend to like all things equestrian inspired- did you see the RL watch from the same collection that is framed by a diamond “stirrup”- LOVE!
i just heard that rachel alexandra is not running in the belmont. i wonder if they’re worried that she won’t win in a longer race?
