I have been thinking about our summer plans and hoping we can find some time this summer to get to the beach. There is a difference between a beach house and a house at the beach. To me going to the beach means swim, sand, barbeques, flips flops and lemonade. What would you choose? beach house….
or house at the beach…

I spent my summers growing up in the mountains of upstate NY. It is small and wonderful community with beautiful old homes, red clay tennis courts, and crisp mountain air. So really I am a mountains kind of person, but a beach house with a good dose of sun and sand would feel great.David Gubernick’s gorgeous photograph featured in this month’s Coastal Living.

I love all of the Beach house pictures. For a vacation spot I would definitely choose the beach house!

Beach House! With a little sand on the floor!
Beach house by far. To me the beach house represents playing with the kids all day on the beach, then having a cookout under the stars while relaxing with great wine or a margarita, then sleeping with the windows open listening to the surf.
Small white shingled beach house filled with sand from little feet!
Hydrangeas in the garden, and slip covered furniture and antiques inside.
Thank you for getting me ready for summer!
