White House Bound

by laura on January 21, 2009

There is much speculation in the interior design world on the coming design of the private residence in the White House by Michael Smith (see my post 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue). Here is our first clue…

“We know it’s going into the private residence of the White House,” said Jeff Jenkins, owner of Leonards New England. It was delivered to a warehouse in Maryland last week & is unclear whether this bed will go into President Obama’s master bedroom, but I am glad to see that there is an appreciation of American Craftsmanship.

Yay . . . I was so excited when I heard that Michael was doing the White House, and I love having a sneak peek at what he’s up to.

Good detective work!

hi Ali- yes, interesting. Surely says a lot about tone of a bedroom. Wonder what he will do with it and the bedding!
